Armação de Pêra, just east of Benagil, has some of the cheapest and best-reviewed short boat trips to the cave — from €25, about 15 to 25 minutes by sea — plus easy town parking compared with Benagil village.
Armação de Pêra is the closest town on the eastern side of Benagil, and its long beach — Praia dos Pescadores at the old-town end — launches small boats straight off the sand. It pairs a short crossing with the lowest published fares on the coast, which is why it’s a favourite of value-minded visitors.
It’s also far easier for parking and driving than squeezing into tiny Benagil village, making it a relaxed base for a morning cave trip.

Wherever you leave from, the same binding rules govern the cave itself: you cannot land on the beach inside, you cannot swim or float in, and motorised boats may only enter for about two minutes. Kayaks and SUPs go in with a guide, in small groups. It's the same cave under the same law — the town only changes how you get there.

Much. Armação de Pêra has plentiful street and lot parking most of the year, where Benagil village is a small, gridlocked clifftop lot.
